So, I took you all's advice, and I'm editing the opening thingy. To everyone who's been following all four rounds, you don't really need to read this.

To all new posters. It's pretty imperative that you read page 97, and the second to last post. That should catch you up, and I'll also lay down some of the rules we all came up with at random.

So, here they are

When you post, you must include either +1 or -1 before the number (i.e. +1 77) to indicate to others whether your post was intended to be up or down. We've had some problems with slow browsers and number mixups, so this should help prevent that.

Two, you can't post within two posts of yourself. I.e. Sole Soul, Finiskalan, Caedus, Sole Soul. (You guys don't mind me using you as an example, right?)

That's about it. Oh and also, have fun!

dam it, it ended already, I guest time flies by when playing left 4 dead at your friends house.

I think we should do 0 - 5000

FinisKalan
Ice Cream sounds good right now. I think I've got some in the freezer in the garage.

I wonder what SSAF is going to think about this being over already.

In response: Holy crap!

Great game! Already it's 961 posts since february 24! I'll be calculating the rest of the stats, and I'll have them up in no time.

And here's a nice tidbit: Do you know why superheros are always Captain something? It's because then they can marry people on a boat. It's a good way to make extra money on the side.

Okay, stats are calculated and in!

The Winner Is (as you already know): FinisKalan, for the last tug to 400. Also, note that he posted a bare 16 seconds after Loupdinour.

I've made a brief change. There will be 4 mvps, two from each team.

UP Team

MVP #1, the best MVP of them all, and the top poster for the UP team is, obviously, FinisKalan, with a whopping 115 posts. Great job, and get a life! Lulz.

MVP #2, the second best MVP of them all is...Loupdinour, with 82 posts! Apparently having massive fangs helps when playing tug of war. Moving on...

DOWN Team

MVP #1, this guy (or girl, i didn't check) came from behind to be the best player on the DOWN team. That person is Cypher, who beat out Sole Soul for the most downward posts.

MVP #2, who i gave away above, is Sole Soul. He was barely beaten out by Cypher (47-42), but still made a valiant effort!

There will now be karma awarded, as promised.

And I have a few awards!

The Person With No Life Award goes to...FinisKalan, because, seriously, holy crap. 115 posts, that's more than half the needed posts to win. Wow dude, just...wow.

Smash Talkin' Award goes to FinisKalan, Loupdinour, and Cypher, for that brief randomness on page 37. Something involving Rosie clones. *Shudder*

Best Comeback Award goes to Cypher, for becoming the best MVP for DOWN Team and for being pretty much the only opposition towards the end.

Well, that finishes Game 2, 0-200-400.

Here's the complete Stats Chart, for every player. I ditched the lines for numbers, makes it easier to read.

Another game, anyone?

on Mar 08, 2009

I counted 121 posts, but whatever.

As for having no life, I just happen to do most of my work and activities in a location where I have access to the internet and as a result can watch the forum. However, no life does still apply. Something silly like being a full time college student in Computer Science.

If you thought that the 16 seconds you mentioned was bad, take a look at the post times for reply 945 and reply 946. I'd like to see someone get closer than that.

I'm up for another round.

on Mar 08, 2009

Either way, you're still by far the highest poster.

So, if anyone's interested, let's raise the stakes.

How about we start at...

500.

To 0 or to 1000!

And when you post for the first time in this new game, declare your team. You know, either UP Team or DOWN Team. That way it's easier to know who's for what.

So, game on.

Declare your team?  Rules on switching sides?

Declare your team?  Rules on switching sides?

I'd rather we not declare teams.  It makes things more interesting to not know for certain what someone's going to do.

+1 = 501

edit: I think what he is getting at is: If this was actually played out in the field with a rope, how easily could you change sides?
